Prior to, CEO & Portfolio Manager to Denahi Global Investments (Jan. 2005 to Dec. 2007), a low volatility hedge fund focused on the Pan Asian Markets. Generated solid returns with excellent risk metrics, 21.5% annualized return, 6.4% volatility and maximum drawdown of -2.9%. From July 1999 to Dec. 2004, he was Portfolio Manager with Loomis Sayles where he managed international equities with a focus on Asia, Emerging Markets and Europe. Here he generated strong returns with a 14.7% annualized return compared with 0.06% for the MSCI EAFE Index. The Fund Alpha was +23.9%. The Fund consistently ranked four or five star with Morningstar. For the July 1995 to June 1999 period, Eswar was a Portfolio Manager with Nicholas Applegate, where he managed the Emerging Markets Fund with a focus on Asia, Latin America, Central Europe and Africa. He generated strong performance metrics with a 12.8% annualized return compared to -1.87% for the MSCI EMF Index. The Fund Alpha was +13.9%. He has demonstrated an acute understanding of emerging markets risks, demonstrated by his anticipating the 1997 Asian Crisis thus protecting his funds from the subsequent correction. In 1997 his performance was +10.1% compared to -11.6% for the comparable Index. From June 1994 to Sept. 1994, he was an Emerging Asian Analyst with Koeneman Capital in Singapore and from Feb. 1989 to Aug. 1993, he was a Senior Engineer with Integrated Device Technology in Salinas, CA. Eswar received his MBA from the University of Chicago and an MSE from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He received his EE from the Indian Institute of Technology on Madras, India. Eswar resides in Walnut Creek, CA.
